In his series LAX, realized between 1982 and 1984, then very young photographer John Brian King (@jbkphotographer) portrays the face of a changing metropolis, different from both its past and as we know it now. Los Angeles becomes a surface made of the advantage of political interests, cultural and social decline of a post-industrial age, a dual banality that is now sought. The everyday breaks in through the odd chaos of harried travelers, uniformed employees and vacationers captured in Los Angeles International airport, through the desolate night landscapes and debris across the city.  ⁣⁣
